Andrew Hill Newman
Biography
Andrew Hill Newman made his Broadway debut in Merlin in which he understudied the show's star, magician Doug Henning. His other Broadway and National Tour credits include his portrayal of Tom Sawyer in Big River, Hally in Master Harold...and the boys, and Amos Scudder in Barnum.
Off-Broadway, Andrew starred for three years as Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors and created the roles of Tom Kelly in Only Kidding! and Dave Schoenfeld in Birds of Paradise.
You'll also recognize Andrew as a familiar face on television. Andrew played recurring roles on The Commish, Room For Two, The Amanda Show, Legend and also had guest starring roles in thirty different series including, Arrested Development, Unscripted, NYPD Blue, Night Court, L.A. Law, Murder, She Wrote, and Murphy Brown.
Andrew's feature film credits include, Lethal Weapon 3, Mannequin, Mannequin on the Move, Funny About Love, and The Second Civil War for HBO.
Teamed with Hank Azaria, Andrew wrote and produced Nobody's Perfect, which won Best Short Film at the 2004 HBO Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen. Andrew's comedic talents have also led him to contribute sketches to NBC's Saturday Night Live and write for the short-lived UPN sitcom Guys Like Us.
He produced and wrote three live-action series for Nickelodeon: The Amanda Show, All That and Drake & Josh.
