table cards
- Cards that are turned up on the table for use in everyone’s hand.
table charge
- A fee paid for playing at a table.
tap
- To wager all of one’s money in a single bet (in no-limit games).
tapped out
tell
- An action that hints at the quality of the cards someone is holding.
third street
- In seven-card stud this is the first betting round on the first three cards.
thirty miles
- When a player has three tens.
three flush
- When a player has three cards of the same suit.
three of a kind
- Three cards of the same number or face value; also called trips
ticket
tied on
- When your hand is good enough to play to the end.
tight
- A player who doesn’t play many pots; a game that lacks action.
tilt on
- Usually negative behavior that results from losing.
trapper
- A player who underbets a strong hand to create a larger pot.
treys
- A hand consisting of a pair of threes.
triplets
- Another name for three of a kind.
turn
- The fourth card dealt; the third round of betting (in flop games).
turn card
- The fourth street card in Hold’em and Omaha.
two flush
- A hand consisting of two suited cards.
two pair
- A hand consisting of two different pairs.
two-way hand
- A hand that has the chance of winning both high and low halves.
