Getting started with the Hollywood Poker software is simple. All you need to do is follow these four steps:

• Create an account. (It's free.)
• Activate your account.
• Download the Hollywood Poker installation program.
• Run the installer.

Hollywood Poker has gone to great lengths to ensure your security and the security of the software, so don't worry about viruses, spyware, or spam. The only thing that gets installed on your machine is our poker software. Nothing else. Better yet, you control the entire setup process: nothing will happen without you approving it first. If you've ever installed software from a CD-ROM before, you are familiar with the routine. In the end, the only thing that gets installed on your machine is the poker software. Nothing else. Guaranteed.

Ready? Let's rock!

Step 1: Create Your Account

First, you have to create an account. The only information you need to provide is:

1. Your Nickname. The name your fellow players will know you by while you're playing.
   
2. Email address: Hollywood Poker needs a valid email address so we can send you a verification email when you sign up. We do this for security reasons, and you will not receive any spam as a result.
   
3. Password: This gives you secure access to the site.

Now that you've registered, we'll know where to send your winnings, as well as your free Hollywood Poker updates and newsletters.

Hollywood Poker will never give your personal information to anyone else.

Step 2: Download the software

Once you have signed up and activated your account, click the Download (link) button to start downloading the Hollywood Poker software. This box will appear:

Click the Open button to begin the secure download of the software. How quickly it will download will depend on the speed of your internet connection. The downloading process usually takes no more than a couple of minutes.

Step 3: Installation

After the software has been downloaded to your computer, you'll see a box like this one:

Click the Open button to begin the installation process. Otherwise you can just go to the folder the file was downloaded to and double-click on the icon. The installation program will take care of setting up and configuring everything else.

That's all you need to get started playing for Play Money! If you're new to Hollywood Poker, now might be the right time to read our games tutorial. If you're a more experienced player who enjoys a higher level of competition , you'll want to start playing for Real Money.

Installing Hollywoodpoker.com Software

1. Double click on the "NetInstallHollywoodPoker.exe" - this will launch the installer.
2. Agree to the license agreement.

3. After you agree to the license agreement, you will be prompted at the screen displayed below.

4. At this point, you can change the file destination by clicking the "Browse" button. We do recommend that you use the default location.
5. Click the "INSTALL" button to continue with the installation.
6. Once the installation has completed you should then see a screen that looks like the screen displayed below.

7. Click the "CLOSE" button.

8. A smaller window should appear at top of the window displayed above (see below for smaller window). You need to click the "YES" button.

9. Next you will see a screen that reads: Updating Hollywood Poker.com (see below). You will need to be connected to the internet in order for this to be successful.

10. Finally, the Hollywoodpoker.com software will launch and you will be prompted to enter you user ID and password.  Please see image below.
